In 2004 Erica joined myspace. She spent her first days on myspace curating her top 8 and spending hours learning html code to perfect her profile decorating it with images of Joan Jett and Kat Von D, inspirational quotes and a customized playlist of hard rock and power pop. Erica grew as a person alongside technology and social media. Over the course of the last 10 years social media has been a constant part of her life. Work and play. She landed a job as a blogger for an internationally distributed art magazine. Her position quickly evolved into brand manager, taking on the task of ‘gatekeeper’ for the brand’s reputation, the company’s voice to customers and the media, and as the architect of the brand’s image. After leaving the magazine she approached Ron English, and internationally famous street and fine artist about working for him directly. Ron English hired Erica to manage his virtual presence, curating his social media, writing his press releases and newsletters, blogging for his website, and managing his online presence in its entirety. Although working in social media for the past 5 years, Erica launched Yellow Jacket Social in 2015. Looking back she realizes she has been building her brand all along. Building a foundation for herself to become an young female entrepreneur in the technology and marketing industries. Erica realizes that her position, whether working for herself or for someone else, has always been to contribute to the growth and success of others. And today, she is excited to contribute to yours.
